    My husband hates it. It clumps in our hard water. I contacted them re the refund and have never heard anything. We're still using it (as little as we can manage and putting it into a full tank of water). But I'll never get DH to agree to buy it again, darn it. I liked having a real fragrance free soap!

    Man Judi! I am sorry to hear about this! I know every product won't be a great fit for everyone. =(

    When you say it's clumping, I'm guessing you mean that you have the powdered version? (I have hard water too and bought the liquid...I always buy liquid detergent for this reason, dishwasher too)

    I would call/email them again. They were super nice to me when I had questions & concerns just the other day. I hope you get in touch with them and get your refund.

    we use it for our LOs cloth diapers. It's awesome and we've yet to get any chemical burns.

    Default Charlie's Soap Users

    I've used Charlie's Soap for a few years now and usually only buy the a few bags at a time. I've been comtemplating buying the 5 gallon bucket, but I wasn't sure that I wanted to tie up $160 in laundry soap. Anyways, I was searching online to see if I could find a coupon code to bring the cost down. I ended up finding it on Amazon and purchased the 5 gallon bucket for $100 (free shipping was included). The $60 savings now brings the cost per load to .07 per load instead of the normal .09. I wasn't sure if other Charlie's Soap users knew about huge price difference by purchasing through Amazon, so I figured that I would pass along the information.

    I've never heard of this type of laundry detergent, but it sounds very interesting due to the low per load cost...I'll have to take a peek at it....

    Cherie, do you have a front loader or top loader? I was thinking of eventually trying this stuff but I have a top loader so it would probably cost me more, right?

    Leighcat,
    I was wondering about that too since I have a top loading HE washer.
    Their web site said it was for HE machines too.

    "Product Features"

    "* 1280 Washes
    * 9 Cents per wash!
    * Perfect for H.E. washers (high efficiency)
    * Excellent for cloth diapers"

    I'm thinking I may have to order this once I've used up
    some of my stockpile of detergent...
