I use a downey ball (the blue plastic thing) with vinager in it instead of fabric softner. Works great. Same as those who ad it to the rinse cycle. I would never remember to do that though.

I also use vinegar with the downy ball!!! I use apple cider vinegar, smells better than white vinegar. But either way your clothes will not smell like it once they dry!!

i wouldnt use foil in the dryer. would be afraid of snagging things.
i use some vinegar and about 1/4 of the recommended amt of softener mixed w/ the vinegar and dont have any issues w/ static cling.
clothes that are line dried, get thrown in on fluff w/ 1/3 of a dryer sheet for 10 - 15 minutes.
