    Default Shout Color Catchers?

Has anyone used them? I was sent a sample and coupon. I was impressed that it really did seem to "catch" some color from the water.

Have you used them long term? Do they work for you? How much do they cost in your store?

I have some store brand ones. I haven't tried Tide. I only use them when I wash certain items that I know or suspect will run. I have used them in both handwashing and machines. They do work - but they have a limit. Once they soak up as much color as they can, they stop working... DH has one pair of pants that are very poor quality with a very "runny" indigo dye that no matter how many times I wash, they have to be washed completely separately. Just for fun I put those sheets in the water once with it and while it came out completely blue, the water was blue too.

The first time I wash something new, I use one. If I get no color on the color catcher, then I know for sure it's safe to wash with other things.

DH's clothes tend to be the culprit here, too. He has a couple shirts that always seem to leach red dye and it's so frustrating. I think I'll put it on the grocery list for this week. We don't use a ton of laundry products so it's not like adding something to a list of long stuff we use. Basically, just detergent and a dryer sheet. Bleach on whites.
