Anyone in Canada know where to get HM laundry ingredients?
I cannot find washing soda or bar laundry soap anywhere. I've tried Walmart, grocery stores Canadian tire and come up empty handed. I have no problem finding borax, I could use a bar of regular ivory instead of the bar soap suggested by most recipes, but where on earth do you find washing soda?
There are lots available online, but I have no CCs and don't plan to get one anytime soon just to make this one purchase. Any Canadians make their own laundry detergent and have a suggestion?personal loan 900/15000

I found washing soda in the regular grocery store (save on foods?) It's made by Arm and Hammer.

Washing soda is available at Superstore. When
I made HM soap, I used Sunlight bar soap. You can buy it at Superstore as well in the laundry aisle.Updated January 4, 2012

I have found the arm&hammer washing soda and all grocery stores and wal-mart. I buy it bulk from a local green store, including soap flakes, so I don't need to grate it.
But a suggestion, if you go to the Purex website, and order a free sample, it comes with a $3 coupon, and the Purex is often on sale for $3. It was this week at Zellers, and has been at Wal-mart, Shoppers Drugmart as well. It has a long expiry so watch the sales and you'll get if for tax only. No Frills if you have it, often has their extreme sales, last round Arm &Hammer detergent was on for $2, and there are several $1 coupons for it, so you could get it for $1.
Now, if it's about going all natural and eliminating things due to allergies, then homemade is the way to go
I do both. I have ingredients to make on hand all the time, but only when I can't get the next to free detergents.
