who uses powdered laundry soap?
I haven't used it in so long that I can't remember. I've started to wonder why I don't.

I use Costco's Kirkland house brand powdered laundry detergent.
I've tried liquids but they are more expensive and don't do as good a job. Very happy with the cost -- I spend about 13 or 14$ every 9 months or so for detergent, and the results which are terrific.

I only use powdered (store bought - plan on making homemade for fun to see how it turns out). Spills are not frequent and if they do occur its easily cleaned. Also, I am avoiding buying plastic, and powdered often comes in little cardboard boxes.

Now Ive use powder for years. But I love my liquid Tide, tried sunlight and hate it, wont take enough of the satins out. And also ABc and purex, cheap but doesnt do it for me.

I use liquid. I used to use powdered all the time. Not to mention the fact that at one time they didn't make liquid. I think I switched because of an old washer I had at that time it didn't agitate very well. Powdered just didn't dissolve as well as the liquid did.

i stopped too because the washer doesn't seem to dissolve the powder so well, some clothes come out with a icing of powder goo on them. But i don't like the liquids either much because it seems they dont clean as well ... the "grit" of the powder scours out the stains better.
anyhow, long way around...i use mliquid.~~ Missy ~~

I use powdered.Used to have the problem of the powder not dissolving, but I started leaving my clothes to soak for 15 to 30 minutes before washing ( they come out MUCH cleaner if I do this) so I just swish the detergent in the water and agitate a moment before I leave it to soak. No more powder spots on the clothes... :-)
Powder seems to be more economical for me.Change Jar - 239.00 ~ March 18 , 2006
