    Question HELP Pink tinged laundry!

I washed all of dh's work clothes with his work rags (bright red) and his camo shorts all have a pink hue to them ! How do I get it out?

I would try Oxyclean and hot water in the washing machine, good luck. Pink is kinda pretty though!!

I know you probably don't want to spend money but a dye grabber would most likely take it out.

You might try soaking them in salt water and then rewashing them. I have had this work when I had red that bled onto the white pattern of clothing before.

I would try the saltwater thing, though if you ran them through the dryer before you noticed you may have set the pink color.

Trying the saltwater thing now. Nothing else has worked! They were never dried, so I'm hoping this will work. Thank, ladies!

Soak them in some BIZ that always takes out all of my laundry mess ups.

Oh my, I don't think pink is going to go over to well at work for you dh! If the saltwater doesn't work the stores sell a dye remover that you might try. Good luck.

I did the same thing to my DS's lucky boxer shorts (this is why I do not do the laundry). I thought he was going to kill me....then he wore them that night and hit his first tournament homerun over a 200 fence. So he still wears them today- eventhough they are a pretty pink color.

There is a cloth thing that you can buy that is suppose to draw the color out. Sorry I do not know the name of it but I have seen it at places like Wal-Mart in the section with stain sticks/Oxyclean/detergents.

Good Luck - I hope the color comes out.

RIT makes a color ansd stain remover that works well and as a last resort I have used WINK rust and stain remover. Its expensice (3.99 a bottle here) but a little goes a long way and it did take the pink and stains out of a lavender coat. It didn't do anything to the color thank heavens.

No luck! He had enough shorts, so he threw them away! He didn't want me to waste my time trying.
