HELP! New pants dye bled in wash!
I was washing my DD's clothes and a new pair of purple plants bled in the wash. It didn't tint everything purple, but left purple blotches on the clothes touching it at the end of the wash. Is there any way to get the blotches out? Some of the clothes it stained are new too! And they're color, not white..otherwise, I'd bleach them.

I don't have a clue how to remedy this but just keep bumping up your post and maybe someone who KNOWS will see it. Gosh, I hate it when that happens!

Color catchers sold in the laundry detergent aisle will get the blotches out. They are in a box and come in sheets like the fabric softeners. Also a product sold in quilt stores called Synthrapol. http://www.quiltbus.com/retayne.htm
