Well, finished with the lion costume, am on the 4th sweatband for dh (then those are done --yawn). Then back to the chenille throw, now that the yarn has arrived. Then get to that shawl for mom, and finish it. Someday. My goal for Oct. was to get halfway through that item.

Cheapskate 49, VERY nice!! What brand of yarn did you use for the scarves?

Got the back of the shrug done, and finished the decreases on the sleeve. Now just doing another straight 11 inches to finish it off.

Finished the shrug!! The pics aren't great, but you can get the idea. It is meant to be worn outside a leotard or tight-fitting sweater. One is of the entire shrug, and the other is a detail pic of the trim I decided to use.

I'll probably keep this one, because I made a few mistakes in the process.

Now I have to figure out what my next project should be! I'm not very talented yet, so I can't do anything very sophisticated. My goal is to eventually get good enough to knit a BEAUTIFUL dress I have flagged in one of my knitting mags. By the time I am good enough, though, I may be too old to wear it!

Just as a sort of knitting "sorbet" after the main course, I threw together a scarf last night. It is just a goofy one, mostly to use up some novelty yarn that I had. It is two separate skeins used together for texture.

Well guess what? You can't knit very well with tennis elbow! So I am instead going to work on some sewing that I have been putting off. I have some valances I want to make for my kitchen, a throw/wall quilt that needs finishing, and a swing dress I have cut out but not sewn. Hopefully I can get some of those finished this month.
