    Default October Needle Arts Challenge

For those of you who joined the Needle Arts Club, I posted this in the thread titled "Announcing the Needle Arts Club," but it is a pretty old thread, so I'm posting it here, as well.

How about a challenge? Project Time!!!

You have until October 1 to decide what your project is, and you have until the end of October to finish it. (So don't decide that you are going to knit an afghan using #2 needles....Unless you are REALLY good and REALLY fast and have no life, then go for it.)

Who is in? If you want in, let us know. By Oct 1, post your intended project, and then we can keep each other updated on our progress throughout the month. At the end of month, pics will be posted to show finished projects.

Newscast is already in with a challenging project of preemie blankets for her local children's hospital! I'm still trying to figure out what my project will be.

    YES!

I have a few cross stitch patterns to make... it's something I havent done in a while, so it's time consuming and a little challenging.

I want them done for the Yule holidays.

    I am in.
Is it OK if the project is already started?
If it is, I have a baby afghan that I need to finish. The baby should come any day now.
I am moving in Oct, but should have enough down time to finish it.

I'm in too. Will post my project soon. I will not be able to post a picture so you'll just have to take my word for it that I've (hopefully) completed my project.

Great idea - thanks for the motivation!

    I'd like to try it!

First I'd like to finish a chenille throw I'm knitting (3/4 done), then a child's blanket for donation I started (1/3 done).

Then I'd like to start and get at least halfway through the shawl I'm going to make my Mom for Christmas. It's a tough pattern, so I'm going to say 'half'.

Okay, for those of you who signed up but didn't give us a project, the clock is ticking! Think about it this weekend, and let us know what you decided on! (And yes, I'm guilty of the same thing!)
