I'm going to attempt to knit a bumblebee cushion for my FSIL as a Christmas present. I know bees aren't autumn/winter, but can I be in as it's a Christmas gift?
Seeing as I can cast on, knit, purl, rib, and cast off (and that is all!!!) I think I might be boxing above my weight here. trying to convince myself that she'll love it all the more if it's a bit 'thrown together' and googlyeyed. If anyone has a pattern for a bumblebee, please let me know! I'm sure I could learn to decipher it.Me, Indianna - 21

It can be made with different yarn, the needle sizes are American, so hope this helps...

I am sure someone else can help you if you need to alter the pattern some. I looked it over, it seems to be basic knitting... knit, purl, yarn over and knit two together.

Wow!
Wow Lady_V! That at a glance does actually look really easy! Thank you so much for that.
I did actually mean bumblebee as in a oval shaped black and yellow cushion, sewn on legs, anntenae, wings the lot. All knitted. Which I might still try and do, but by making those dishclothes, I now have a Christmas present for 5 more people!! Wahey!

Not necessarily 'challenge related', but I am knitting a pony-tail hat. I figured if I posted it here, I would stay on track because people would expect updates

Still no sign of my latch hook kit!
USPS shows it shipped on 10/27, so I had hoped it would arrive this week. I may have to adjust my challenge, as I'm not sure I can latch hook an entire rug in two weeks!

Oooo, love the wristies Lady_V. I have to resist. I have major start-itis lately lol.
I got 3/4 of the back of ds's hoodie done yesterday. I also sneaked off & worked on the scarf that's not on my challenge list

I have had to re-start the wristies 3 times. I have a larger hand than the original pattern called for. I think I finally got the right needle size. I didn't want to change the pattern.
When I make the hat (again) I will have to change up the pattern without bumping up the needles. That should be easy since there are no evil cables or anything

Ughhhhhhhhhh I still haven't dug out the tablecloth. I am wanting to finish up the quilt before moving on, but I may just switch anyway.

I'm slowly knitting on the dishcloth -- had to frog it twice, an am now about 1/2 done. Hopefully no more frogging and I can get it finished and move on to other gifts.
