    Cool December Project Completion Challenge

~I got 13 sewing projects done in two weeks during the November Challenge. But I have a long way to go still. I have birthday presents, decorations, cloth diapers, a skirt, alterations and a rug(amongst many other projects!)on my to-do list. Anyone who would like to join me is welcome! You can count off any type of project you'd like.~

How about if it's one big project? I measured wrong (being lazy.... surprise!) on a knitted afghan, and now that I finally took the measurements I've learned that it'll be sized more like a blanket than an afghan. I'm dying to start other projects, but will commit to plugging away at this till I'm finished. Don't know if I'll complete it in December as I'm only about 20 percent finished, but I'll work on it!

Oh, does this count as another project? To quit reading (and reading and reading) about planning a garden and finally bite the bullet and start laying one out. So far I've figured that as long as I'm researching I don't have to put anything on paper, but I've read about 8 books now, and have nothing to show for it.

    ~Mary

I'm in! My projects have to do with organizing and finishing home improvement projects. I am due in January and I'm already have labor pains on and off. Some things I will be able to do myself (painting with nontoxic paints), but other projects will have to organize labor to do (moving heavy furniture). I will list here.

    - Get drywall dust off of books and put on bookshelf. List some to sale on internet.
    - Wash down all walls and trim in daughter's room so I can paint.
    - Prime all trim and ceiling
    - Paint all trim, ceiling, and walls in daughter's room.
    - Put together her furniture from IKEA
    - Put up blinds (husband) or myself if I get desperate for it to get done.
    - Put up ceiling fan (husband or dad)
    - Put up mirror and dressing mirror in that room (husband and dad)
    - Move bookshelf to attic
    - Organize and decorate my room after furniture and mattress is delivered
    - Clean every surface in bathroom to remove all drywall dust
    - Put up shower curtain
    - Move husband's stuff to my closet

    Baby's Preparations
    - Wash and organize all clothing for baby
    - Put together baby bed
    - Put bedding on bed
    - Purchase car seat
    - Get down swing from attic and wash dry covering

    Christmas
    - Put up Christmas tree
    - Get Christmas cards and address
    - Wrap all gifts
    - Purchase mom's gifts (birthday and Christmas), Dad's gift certificate

    Work
    - Get paperwork turned in (USDA and Family Guidance)
    - Finish reconciling all accounts for Accountant

My husband is in the middle of a major work project so it will mostly be me doing the majority of this with three kids under the age of 6 and pregnant with fourth. Wish me luck.

One of my projects is to make about 100 Christmas Cards for my parents and (AND) write their annual Christmas newletter. OI!

I've started planning next years garden. I should just tell DH to plow the entire back yard! "Just think honey, less for you to mow"

I too am reading lots on gardening, perusing thru my seed cattys, and daydreaming about gardening. I learned how to can last summer so "the plot thickens" and I can't wait for more peaches , black eyed peas, green beans, squash -yellow, and our cute little "rolly polly" zuchinni round squash. I've got tons of tomato seeds lying in wait I sure hope I grow those better this year.

I finished all paperwork to do with work. Ordered Christmas cards. Painted wall color in little girl's room and the ceiling is done. The walls need one more coat of paint and trimwork and doors need to be finished.

~I altered a dress and made a pair of barrettes out of a gaudy pair of vintage clip earrings. So 2 more. I really need to knock out at least 10 this week to be able to see my work surface. The less clutter I have around here over the next few weeks, the better.~
