Welcome Kim, glad that you are joining us!! Quilt blocks can be any size that works for you. I am working primarily on wall hangings and lap quilts so I usually do 10-12" blocks. Have fun!!

Okay, here are the last three blocks. One for a week ago, one for last week, and one for this week.

    Old Maid Puzzle II

    Northern Lights

    Anvil II

I decided to switch the medium and light tones in Old Maid Puzzle II. I don't like the results...too yellow.

I found Northern Lights easy to do. Anvil II was a bit more complicated/finicky to get the corners to match.

I'm starting to run out of the original fat quarters I had for this quilt. I think I'll wait and see how many blocks I can get. I'd love to get 20, but that's hardly likely. We'll see...

Will have to wait til I get home to see the pictures Peanut - they don't come through at work.

I picked my pattern and the fabric, so should have a chance to cut this weekend - very simple, but effective I hope!!

Your pictures came through and I like all of them!!

This past weekend we went to Oahu for a conference and I carefully packed fabric, scissors and (I thought) the pattern. Got there and the pattern was home, so I cut the fabric into strips for the rag rug I want to crochet.

After working 10 hours today and doing three loads of laundry, I am treating myself to cutting the quilt triangles. I may get my square done this month after all!!

    How's everyone else doing?

Finally figured out how to down load pictures to an album - one of my Hawaiian quilt squares - this weekend I'm going to take some pictures of other creations and post them - this is fun!!

Then I need to choose my next quilt square project.

What have you all been doing?

mauimagic: I'm not sure about uploading photos. I actually take them on my digital camera and upload them to my computer, resize them in Paint Shop Pro, and then upload them to Photobucket, and from Photobucket I copy and paste the image code here at the Village under links. I can't figure out how to go direct from my computer to the Village. Not sure I can.

I've been super busy. No time for sewing. Will get back to it eventually. Time to go uncover the garden and go for a walk...

I took a break from quilt blocks last week and this to finish this...

It's my first English medallion quilt, based on a pattern by Bettina Havig in [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Classic-English-Medallion-Style-Quilts/dp/1574328298"]"Classic English Medallion Style Quilts"[/ame] She calls it "Wigglesworth".

You really did a great job. Did you hand or machine quilt?

It's a machine quilted medium sized stipple pattern. I've got to get cracking on more quilt blocks. I finally have my sewing room set up. Just waiting for a chair now. Then I'll be good to go.
