    strangers!
I've been gone for the last couple of weeks at a conference, & then catching back up from it - but somehow, in the middle of it all, I finished my mother's shawl. Don't have a pic right now, but it's a simple, fillet (crochet) triangle shawl made from navy blue lions wool I found on sale for $.99 a skein. 3 skeins later, I have mom's christmas DONE for this year! Yay!
Right now I'm making "furry" flip-flops for my daughter, but those only take me a little while - & I typically work on them while she's at the gym. I'll be finished with those today & start on a (varigated) blue wool hat for Dad's christmas. He acutally requested it!

I can't cross-stitch. It makes me swear like a sailor

I finished the baby cardigan for my cousin. Can't take a pic because our digital camera died and my cell phone is being stupid. Hopefully we'll find a new one we like & that is affordable tonight when we go shopping.

I'm planning a rearrangement of the rooms in my house...including moving the studio upstairs. I expect this will take awhile and I won't be getting any needlework done for the duration. I have two weeks to complete this transition... studio upstairs, family room to where studio was. And guest bedroom to where my away room is. Means my away room and studio become one and the same. Also need a new dining room table to make this work... Could be interesting...

Not a needlework project, but I figured I'd fill you all in on what I'm doing the next little while.

You are going to be BUSY! Remember needlework is calming. Theraputic. Restful ... Unless you swear a lot when your knitting isn't cooperating.

Beautiful bracelet madhen! So sorry there weren't any customers for you! That is awful to have to sit there that long and you didn't even get a sale! At least you used your time for making more inventory. Hopefully sales will pick up soon. It is kind of a tough business sometimes.

She has not been open on Sundays, and has just started opening, but with no real schedule, so I didn't expect much. Especially with triple-digit temps. I was in an air-conditioned store, and I got a lot of reading, knitting, and beading done, so it wasn't all bad!

    Beautiful bracelet, Madhen!!

I've been working on the retro-modern blanket a lot. Its getting big, and my circular needle is almost not long enough to pick up along the side anymore. I might have to use the end of my b-day Hobby Lobby gift cards to pick up a 24in circular. Other than that, I'm pretty boring with knitting right now. Seems strange. Suddenly my entire life ISN'T about knitting!!

    Beautiful, Madhen!

I don't think I'm going to make my May Challenge lol. I STILL don't have the yarn for the clogs. But I did make a hat to match the baby cardigan. I finished one of the RPM socks and I'm almost done with the black lace ribbon scarf. That's gotta count for something

AND we got a new digital camera so I can get pictures of it all later today

Well, I'm about 60 days behind. I think the beaded flower challenge was for April, and I just got that one done (sort of) with the bracelet. So by July, I might have a nice Mother's Day project done.
