Working on a crocheted snuggly for mh grandson for Christmas, in double crochet. Using Red Heart's "WOODSY", which I think of as camoflauge.

Margorie - isn't it the best making things for grandchildren, wrapping them in your love! I need to check out that woodsy color. I know my gs would like that!

Knitting a wimple in lace pattern...it isn't working. So I'm taking a break to finish a toddler sweater in Colourworks wool. And I have a cotton t-shirt style pattern I'm knitting for myself as well.

I have several hooks, LOL. I just finished a baby bunting/snuggler but have another baby pink blanket started, a dishcloth (making a ton for xmas gifts at work), another afghan in the spare room in charcoal grey about 1/2 done... i shouldn't go on, but I could, LOL.

The one dishcloth will be completed tonight, the baby blanket by the weekend.

I wanted to try a knit flower scrubbie, but my DD has hidden away all of my knitting needles and doesn't remember where - wo while at Walmart today I treated myself to a bamboo pair!! Plan on playing around with it some tonight after I do a lot of cooking for tomorrow's pot luck at school!!

I know a lot of people prefer metal, but I LOVE bamboo needles! I have a couple of hundred of the Clover brand bamboo needles. Something still "alive" about them, vs. the cold feel of metal.

I've decided to join in on this, it's brand new to me and I'm hoping to learn quickly. All of you seem so accomplished.

I recently completed my first pair of slippers, I still have yet to get a picture posted, but I will soon.

Today, I've begun 2 new projects. I'm crocheting dishclothes for my aunt in-laws wedding, and I'm starting on a stamped cross stitch for my son's room for Christmas. That will take a long time since I will have to work on it after he's in bed for the evening so he does not see it. I was lucky to have had coupons for 50% off any item for A.C. Moores and I picked up yarn and a stitching frame (I dislike hoops). I just love saving money! My youngest has the artist flair that seems to run in our family (passed me right by lol!) he used his coupon for an artist set that was a bound drawing tablet, like a book and a set of fine colored drawing pencils.

I want a stitching frame as well. I keep looking for a cheap one but no luck so far! I want to make a few bed-size quilts this winter, and it would be so much easier than using a hoop.

I am still working on a crocheted afghan for some friends of ours (Christmas gift), a dishcloth on one set of needles and a pair of fingerless gloves on another.

I found this one for $13 and I used a 50% off coupon so total without tax $6.50. If you have an A.C.Moores around your way every Sunday paper has a coupon for A.C.Moores from 40% to 50% off any item not on sale or clearanced that week. They've been doing it for the last 2 months. It has to be easier then a hoop and no hoop marks in material.
