November's Needlework Arts Challenge has been posted
[ame="http://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116908"]2009 Needlework Arts Challenge!! - Frugal Village Forums[/ame]
I'm going to make this one super easy for you all, as the winter brings on the holidays and the year end stuff and the stress of the coming year, and you don't need more stress from me!
(Okay, maybe a little.)
I know that a lot of us celebrate the winter holidays, whether it be Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Santa Lucia, Los Posadas, winter solstice, whatever. And the closer we get to those holidays, the more stressed out we get and the less time we have.
So now, before things get too hectic, but to also get us in the holiday mood, your challenge is to make something you LOVE - something that makes your heart skip a beat - something that, when you are done, you can't help but smile looking at it, AND...to make it as a present for someone else. Doesn't matter who - it can be for family, a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker, a stranger you share a bus with, a cozy for your fishbowl, whatever. Just make sure you love it. And make sure you give it away. (And if you finish early, you are allowed to make one for yourself, as well.
)
And because we all have different favourite colours, your colour challenge this month is wildcard. Pick one you love.
Be sure to post in the 2009 Needlework Arts Challenge Thread, so we can all see your progress!! Can't wait to see what people choose as their projects!DH aka Mad Hen

An interesting challenge indeed!! What are you going to do madhen?
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I haven't decided yet. I have to think of something I would love to make/have first, so I'm probably going to go through my knitting mags this weekend to find something.

I'm going to knit a little pink dress for either a friend's daughter or for my grandniece. I like to make things in pink (even though it's not really my favorite color) because I had all boys, and never got to work in that color.
(I'm also going to finish the little sweater and pants set that I began for a new young mother.)
P.S. Did I just post this in the wrong place?
