Scrapbooking Challenge.
I have been collecting supplies for a long long time. I just never make the time to DO it.
With our renovations, I totally lost my studio. Everything was piled in a huge mess. I did a some major work, repurposed things in the home, and created a wonderful haven for me. I'm very excited about it.
So I have a wonderful space for stamping, crafting and sewing. While there is still some work to do on the house, I have some free time now.
So... the challenge is this: I want see 10 pages a month done, and 10 to 15 cards a month done. I have 4 kids and have barely started their lives, so I am going to go for it. I have started my wedding album
i don't even know if dh has ever seen our photos! So it's just time.

M4E - I really applaud your passion and focus on getting on with this part of your life and really want to see if I can follow at least in some of your footsteps!!
DD is going to be 24 this year and I still have not done her album. Guess it's better to do something than never get started at all!!
Looking forward to seeing pictures too!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Yesterday I did the 2nd card of the month. This month I will surpass my card goal, but be under on the pages goal.... I'm starting 1/2 way through the month. But we have birthday invitations to create. Approx 50!! (2 b'day parties) and Easter cards for the teachers.
This is a great project to use up a bunch of odds and ends that are hanging around. I'll be on that tomorrow. I forgot to take a picture of yesterdays card.

Wow I need to do something like this. I got a pile of scrapebooking stuff together. I never started it. So I will start 1 page a month for now to see if I enjoy doing this.

I went thru pictures this week. Now I will work on a few pages this weekend. We have no plans for the weekend. The weather is going to be cold and rainy. Time to work on my first scrapbook.

I just noticed this challenge under Leisure Challenges. I also notice no one's posted since March. Is anyone still out there doing anything? Are there any inspiring photos for us wannabes?
I have 10 years or more of my life to scrapbook. It's sad. Really sad. I think I'll just pick vignettes...like certain vacations...and do those. Then fill in around them, if I can remember what I did. Right now I'm going through old daytimers trying to create a timeline of what we did when.

After the holidays I would love to get involved - have also lots of supplies, but have never done anything......I mean really anything......including DD's baby books - and she's 24 - oh yeah - time to get the books together.

~I wanna join!
I have a ton of supplies gathered over the last 8 years and lots of ideas. My perfectionism keeps holding me back from doing anything. I finally decided to just do any page I want and fill a book with random stuff. When I have enough for certain themes I'll divvy it up into seperate books. I can always redo pages later if I really want to.
My mom and sister are making them too so we're going to have little scrapbook parties to get it done.
I'm starting on Friday.

Cool. I'm currently doing a visual journal that uses a lot of different types of media. I'm finding a strong scrapbooking style component to my pages. I found that rather than buy patterned paper I can go to my quilt fabric stash, scan it in on the computer and print it off on acid free paper. Voila! It's amazing how much this actually increases the options of pages for scrapbooking. And you can do multiple pages for a fraction of the cost of scrapbooking paper at the store.
Course that depends on your printer.

I thought I'd share some of my visual journal pages to show you what I mean about the scrapbook feel to some of them. Not all mind you! But some...

I love this idea. I'm going to borrow some of it for my scrapbbok pages, if you don't mind. Thinking my grandson's handprints on a page for right now.
