What about yellows (bright sunshine) and greens (grass/trees) and a stripe or two of a bright color (to represent flowers) above some of the green?

Thanks. I certainly used the greens! I'm supposed to be using a limited colour palette...ie. all greens. But there are a lot of greens in this world.
I finished the rug this morning. Will have to upload it later to Photobucket to post here.

They are all very nice peanut....my favorite is the winter.

Well since Ds is moving into his first apartment in May and he has been hounding me to make him a few things, I will be using up alot of my stash.....1 pillow form, some muslin and stuffing (to make another pillow form because I refuse to buy one), some fabric to make pillow envelopes so they can be removed for washing, thread, 6 huge 3 layered balls of yarn...making a throw rug for in front of the kitchen sink (will be apply non-skid material to the back so they don't slip on it...also from the stash), curtains, tableclothes, napkins, placemats, knitted dishcloths and the list continues to grow. Very happy he is satisfied with what I make because it is really going to help to use up alot of my supplies!
I will post pictures as I completed things to show you ladies.

I sorted through some of my yarn, that I won't be using.
I listed some of it today on ebay. Rug yarn lots.
Yes I make a few exceptions to sell international.
My ebay user id is easy to figure out

Can't wait to see, DC! Your lucky DS! And his GF too.
I scored three brand new blouse patterns for .49 each at GW today! All of them should look great on me, which is no easy thing at my weight. Now I have to see what fabrics I have for summery stuff. I'm excited! Each one takes about three yards so I'm hoping I have enough of at least three fabrics to make up one of each. That'll help use up my sewing stash!

SD, your goodwill is downright dangerous!
At least it will result in a hole in your stash.

I finally finished the purple thing! I feel like I've crocheted miles of RH amethyst. At least I've finished the crocheting - I still have ends to weave in. I'll catch that tomorrow morning's pot of tea.
I looked back at my log, and I used up 1 whole ball of yarn in February. That's pathetic. But I just haven't had time, or much interest when I got bogged down in the purple. I did actually use up more of it than I thought I would when I last posted. Unless there's more hiding out somewhere, I'm down to about a 4-5" ball of it left over.
I'm taking the next into work for the long dull weekend - a corner to corner in RH navy and ILTY hot stripe. Maybe I can get some done on it late in the shift when there's no one around.Donna

Used up some cream fabric given to me by making curtains for the living room windows. Needed something more opaque than the sheers now we are having company sleep there. Still have a bit of fabric leftover for cushions, if we need them. Right now not. Not sure what I'll do with the narrow strips. Hate to throw them out. They're about 12" wide and 4 metres long.

Here is the purple one - though it looks blue on my camera and monitor. It is RH Amethyst, that dark purple, and Shaded Purples.
The other boring one is baby print and white. It's about as bland in person as in the photo, but it used up almost all of the RH baby print. I put in the white, which doesn't help it, because I knew I wouldn't have enough to do it all in the print. I should probably have used a darker color with it, but I also have a lot of white to use up.
The corner to corner I worked on last night is is turning out well. I really like the colors. It's a pleasure to do after all the blah baby/white and purple.Donna
