Such a great design Peanut!! Bet it was fun to make a small item - almost instant gratification!,

Thanks. Well, it wasn't exactly instant. But close. It was 2 hours of work.

I had a great time at my sewing day. We both accomplished quite a bit. I finished a quilt, put the binding on it and started working on my mom's quilt. I think she will like it, I hope she will!
Peanut - your rug hooking is beautiful!
MM - You are going to town cleaning out your sewing room!
Went to my mom's over the weekend and she gave me a huge bag of fiberfill. Going to have to figure out what I am going to do with it all! I don't have kids to make things for, I suppose I could start my christmas ornaments early this year!

Ah, the thrill was great while it lasted. I was so happy to used up the Hot Stripes yarn to a tiny ball. Then, curses, I ended up buying another skein. I tried to match some of my solids to it in the border that I had to add because it turned out a couple of inches narrower than I thought it would - yes, I measured! - and they were close, but not close enough. It was obviously a make do. The skeins in the bin looked totally different from what I had, but after some frantic digging I found ONE that was a pretty close match. The current dye lot is much darker and redder. It would not have worked at all. I should finish it in the next day or so.
MM - the tiny balls are living right now in the bowl part of a big salad spinner that never really worked. It's not officially decor, but at the moment is floating around in the living room. I'm in the process of rethinking all my storage - food stockpile, linens, yarn, extraneous stuff. I'm off in a couple of weeks and will tackle it. I don't know where it will all end up. I'm hoping a number of things end up in the trunk of my car for donation to a charity - but not the yarn!Donna
