Finished the chickadee cowl today then co the autumn orange cowl... It is difficult to see the silver threads through the white on the chickadee but it did turn out pretty...perfect for my winter dress jacket.

Debbie, your cowl is very pretty! And Spirit Deer, that's hilarious about the bank robbery!

I went to Friday night knit, from 6:30 to midnight, last night -- good time and I quite a bit done on my cowl. Just a couple more repeats, border, bind off, then I'm done. We're going on an overnight trip today, about 2-1/2 hours away, and my plan is to knit on the way down, knit on the way back up...have a great weekend everyone!

I'm working on a cape cod blue/taupe/variegated afghan. Hope to complete it this weekend so I can move on to finding yarns and starting an afghan for my mother who stopped in at my house and was admiring and coveting this blue/brown one when I told her - No way, not this one, it's for a guy. If I am making one for you... it will be bright and pretty! So I'm really thinking the next one I start will be a ripple with a wide variety of colors. Now, I have just to find a whole bunch of yarn colors that I really love. I love that part!

Got another 14 rows done since Thursday and will be working on My First Afghan some more tonight. 28 more rows to go! That's about 14 more hours!! It's getting really B.I.G. I think it's 54" by 54" and I'm trying to make it more than 70" long overall since it's supposed to be for my tall DS!

I'm not working on much lately. I've been dealing with various appointments (not mine), some writing/editing for my job, recreational reading, reading contest entries, and sorting out stuff.

I don't think I'm going to make my goals again this month, but if I get SOMETHING done and make progress in getting the house de-cluttered, I'm okay with it.

Thanks DC! Finished the hat this afternoon. Was stuck on the couch all day with a very sick little boy and feeling mighty crappy myself.
