I read The World Made Straight by Ron Rash last weekend while we were on vacation. I couldn't put it down!!!
I just started one of his older ones - Saints by the River.

Wow! I finished the Bookseller or Kabul... what a great read.. a real look at women in Afghanistan. And I finished the Kite Runner. Absolutely outstanding book. If you have not read it, please pick it up. It ranks in my all time favorites. Reading the two books back to back was also interesting. The Kite Runner takes place mostly before September 11th in Afghanastan and then later in America, while the Bookseller of Kabul is the story of rebuilding after the Taliban has been ousted. Two great books!

Not sure what to read next.. I have to consult the pile next to my bed. Maybe another Earlene Fowler mystery.. she's a quick read.

    Happy reading all!
    Current books I'm reading:
    The Red Queen
