Treasure pantry
I loved this idea in the book where she discusses a treasure pantry. I would love to do something similar to this. I am thinking about gathering some special small items to make my family and friends feel more special. I was thinking of items like a special cup, plate, spoon, straw, placemat, or cloth napkin.
My grandma always had special utensils for us as kids. I always felt so special. The gesture was so simple, but holds such great impact.
What type sof neat things could you add to your treasure pantry?

This is one thing that I want to do also. I remember my great grannie having one and each time we went there, we got a small treasure.
The treasure pantry could be so simple, a jar of mixes (can get them from here), a simple sewed item, a craft item, a batch of homemade cookies from the freezer (our neighbour does this each time someone visits, they go home with a batch of homemade buns from her freezer).
I also think in that treasure pantry could be a gift of time. We might have a young mom visit that is overwhelmed and we could give her a little note saying, "one afternoon of free babysitting", or "one evening out".

what great ideas. I was thinking teas and a cup in little sets, or coffees with a cup, wrapped up with a pretty bow. or bathsalts(i have so many) with a poof.. i like inexpensive but cute things.

I like this idea because I love old cups and teapots. I am not a tea drinker personally but I think If I had a tea set I just might pick up the habit!
I love a well set table and I struggle with this every night when I am tired after cooking with a big baby on my hip and all I want to do is get the food out. I would love to pre-set the table with some beautiful dishes and light some candles. I want my children to remember meal times for their beauty not just the food. It's the small things that make life special.
