    Default Vandals damage Stonehenge

    Vandals used a hammer and screwdriver to vandalise the Stonehenge ancient monument, the first such incident for decades, officials said Thursday.

    The night-time attack by two men last week involved the central megalith in the 5,000-year-old ring of standing stones, with English Heritage saying the vandals could have been looking for a souvenir.

    OMG this hurts so badly!
    this really breaks my heart.

    i hope they catch who did that. it's needless and stupid to ruin a historical monument that so many - myself included - hold and cherish!

    Anyone who could do something like that, has their priorities completely misalligned. Imagine standing at Stonehenge, and, instead of feeling awe and wonder, vandalizing. It makes me a bit ill.
