My Dh reads anything Star Wars and the Starfist books by David Sherman. The Starfist books are about aliens attempting to obliterate man. Don't know if those are your types of science fiction but when he gets into one of those I don't expect him to understand anything I've said.
I read fantasy type stuff but only certain authors appeal to me such as Laural K. Hamilton, Patricia Briggs, and Kim Harrison. Vampire, werewolf, witch type stuff but with a very definative world.
What type of sci-fi do you read???
