You need to walk around at midnight and capture the spirits w/your net. When you do so, the ghost will give you the option of pulling all the weeds for you or receiving a gift. HTH

~That's right, thanks! The ghost is around on clear nights after midnight. I think I used to catch him around 2am. You can advance your clock in the start dialogue so you don't have to stay up late. I cheat really bad and change the day every 10 minutes of play.
