The first book-Read in a day
Second book-Took me 3 days (the first 1/3 of the book was sloooow, but once it picked up, it was good till the end)
Third book-Read in a day & part of the night
Fourth-(See third book above)
I also took my 13 dd. to see the movie and while my first instincts were that they needed better computer animation, make-up & acting skills.
I later retracted those statements. I think that with the budget they had making the first movie, that they brought everything to the story they could.
Especially with the time limitations and all.
Also both in the movie & books, did anyone else notice the aversion to meat that Bella has? I honestly hadn't noticed it, but my 13 dd. knowing I'm a veg. pointed it out to me.
I know in the movie when she & her Dad were eating in the diner, she had a Gardenburger and then a salad on the next diner scene.
Then when they were in the restaurant (she & Edward), she ordered mushroom raviolis.
I just found that interesting.
I know the second movie is due out sometime in 2009, and if you go to her website, stephaniemeyer.com, it talks about it and there's also a link to see who will be starring in it.
There's also a link to all the main cast members, it shows how they look in real life and what other roles that they've starred in.
I was really surprised by how different most of the Cullens' looked in real life.
All the orginal Twighlight cast are coming back, or at least as far as the Cullens' go, and then of course Bella & her Dad stay the same.
I also believe that Billy Black's character stays the same, I don't think Jacob has been decided yet?
I dunno about the rest of them.
I'm looking forward to the next movie, and also the New Moon book.
I was telling a girlfriend about it and I told her that I think it's the whole romance, "night and shining armor" thing that draws you in.
Because Edward is from another time, he has that gentlemanly (is that even a word?) thing down.
From the holding the door for Bella, to always putting her wants & needs before his own.
It's kinda like when you were in High School and you always dreamed of finding that 'perfect someone', but then as you grew older you realized that people do have faults and they are only human.
See, we should have all been looking for a vampire all along and just didn't know it!
So yeah, I could go on & on & on & on about the series.
Good stuff.Michelle in middle Tennessee!
Ever so slowly rebuilding my stockpile...

I finished off Twighlight yesterday and read New Moon in it's entirety. It's a good thing I got everything done before I cracked the book open. New Moon kept pulling me along because I kept waiting for "him" to show up. "Surely he's going to show right?" I kept asking. Then it progressed to "ok where the heck is he".
