Favorite Disney songs?
Hard for me to pick, but here's two of my all-time favorites:
[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxpN2XrYDLM[/media]
It's even funnier when my 6'8" DH sings it all high-pitched falsetto to my Siamese cat

This was the first Disney song I memorized as a kid. Drove my Momma up the wall singing this and dancing around.Last edited by FrugalWitch; 09-01-2008 at 10:42 PM.

Every time I'm cooking/using
or any type of seafood I end up singing this in the kitchen. It brings the cats running!
Hope the link works, keep the songs coming!

Great choices.
Love
Little Mermaid:
Part of your World
Kiss the Girl
Poor Unfortunate Souls
Beauty and the Beast:
All of it is great but in particular
I like the first song Belle sings (is it called "Bonjour" or something)
and Be Our Guest
Colors of the Wind in Pocohontas
Where the River Flows in Pocohantas
I am a Disney fanatic. Even before I had kids or before they were even a thought, I was collecting tapes (VHS then) and now we get them in DVD. The music is amazing. You can't help but sing along. I have a few of the older Disney music collections and the I will listen to it with the kids and we will dance around the house. LOL

My kids love this one . . .
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qW2_xXMelR8"]YouTube- The Ugly Bug Ball - Summer Magic[/ame]
And, we just checked out a copy of Bluegrass covers of Disney songs called "O Mickey, Where Art Thou?" and they love the new version of the "Bear Necessities" too.
It's hard for me to say what my all-time favorite is (cause I like sooo many of them), but today my vote is . . .

At Disney World there is an attraction called Carousel of Progress. The song that is played between each setting is called A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.
Here is a link to a recording of part of the attraction. They sing the song as you switch from one era of time to the next. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3eJHvO83_s&feature=related"]YouTube- Carousel of Progress-Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow part1[/ame]. The song is sung at about the 5 minute 30 second mark of the video.
Here are the lyrics:
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
And tomorrow's just a dream away
Man has a dream and that's the start
He follows his dream with mind and heart
When it becomes a reality
It's a dream come true for you and me
So there's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Shining at the end of every day
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow
Just a dream away
We are such dorks around here at our house. About once a week or so one us will just start singing it in the car or around the house out of the blue. All of us end up joining in by the third of fourth word. It's such a fun and happy song.Last edited by Neeley; 09-03-2008 at 09:47 AM.

I'm an oldies fan so its Zippy Do Dah and Some day my Prince will come.
I'm also the one who go down the hall singing "Suppertime" from the peanuts gang.
Family thinks I'm terribly distrubed! Not to mention I can carry a tune in a garbage can. lol
