Are there any series similar to Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series?

I read all but one, and I would like another light reading with the same sort of story line (not necessarily about bounty hunters, but not romances or that sort of thing).

So if you're read & enjoyed that series, what else do you read? :book:

I wrote to you about this in one of the book threads a week or so ago, lol. I've been reading Sue Graftons a-z books with Kinsey Millhone as the private detective. She's not the fun of JE's characters but they are enjoyable reads.
go here then click read alikes for more suggestions. neat tool from my libraries website.

Actually you mentioned Sue Grafton in a thread asking what you were currently reading, and that was 2 mos ago. ;)--unless the search I just did missed any more of your replies.

I didn't really like the one I read by Grafton. Could have just been that particular book, but I think I remember reading the second and not being thrilled either.

Thanks for that link--I'm going to check it out, and I will also add Strohmeyer's books to my list. :read:

I knew the search was :screwy: It didn't pick up that thread--I apologize :)

Thankfully I didn't see it, so at least my mind isn't THAT far gone

If you haven't tried them yet, you might like Nevada Barr's books (Anna Pigeon - national park ranger)

I also enjoy Lisa Scottoline's mysteries revolving around several different female attorneys.

And I gobbled up James Patterson's Lindsay Boxer (homicide detective) "womens' murder club" series - starting with "1st to Die" and up through "7th Heaven" (so far).

Happy reading!
