    Default Bring on the Scary!

Halloween is my favorite holiday, and one of the things that I love so much is that October is usually chock full of scary (and movies that are supposed to be scary) movies.

However, so far, I haven't seen any! I realize it's still early, but I'm ready for some Halloween shows to get going. I'm even jonesing for some Halloween movies to watch with dd, but the Disney Channel isn't showing Halloweentown anymore! We did watch "Twitches" the other day.

I like scary movies myself and haven't seen any advertised. Wonder what's the hold up?!

Wesley and I watched the Garfield Halloween special tonight.

I found the Garfield Holiday DVD (halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas) on sale for 5$ at Target last year. I snatched it up!

On the Travel Channel, they are running that 31 days of October, all scary stuff on there BUT I know what you mean, I want to see some Michael Myers and Jason movies on TV.

ABC Family is going to be doing the 13 days of Halloween.
There are only a few scary movies coming to the theathers.

If you would like to rent some, I could give you a list of some good ones.

SciFi channel is doing their 31 days of halloween already. I've been watching all kinds of scary movies every weekend (cos of tivo--I set it and get to watch the ones that are on in the wee hours)
So far I've watched Whispers, Puppet Master vs Demonic Toys, Silence of the Lambs, Bloody Murder, Child's Play, The Believers, Race with the Devil, Nightmare on Elm Street, Going to Pieces:The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film, Shapeshifter. Some of them are ones I've watched before, but always watch in October like Child's Play and Nightmare on Elm Street. Some are older or not so scary, but all were billed as horror films. I'm having a great time. I'm watching SciFi right now:Haunted Prison.
I'm still waiting for Bravo to run 100 Scariest Movie Moments. It's a countdown of 100 films. I love, love this show. It's pretty long, but my fave author Steve King is on the list several times and gives commentary.
I've still got cable and with the movie tier have encore so I've gotten to watch some good movies because of that. I'm waiting until after October to make decisions on my cable--I got the converter box coupons last week and am going to get one and see how many channels I can get--if I can get it working with my tivo and I can get some channels to watch...it could be bye bye cable

Chiller is also running horror and sci-fi, and that is all year round!

I don't have Tivo, but I have a DVR, so I do the same thing. I pre-record everything, then skim through the commercials. Watched Vincent Price in House of Wax yesterday.
