No Bratz
For those of you who have someone head over heels for these dolls, they won't be selling them anymore...
U.S. District Judge Stephen Larson rocked the toy industry with his order that MGA must immediately stop manufacturing Bratz. He allowed MGA to wait until the holiday season ends to remove the toys from store shelves.

I for one hope that the junction sticks. I can't stand those dolls, cartoons, movies, or anything to do with them.
Before anyone get's their panties in a bunch, I have watched them, I have seen the dolls, I just don't like them. My girls don't play with Barbie's that much either. None of them have. I don't buy them. They only recieve those sort of items as gifts from other people.

I don't have girls, so I haven't been subject to the bratz craze. But I do know to stay away from them becuase of the production manners.
They are Chinese sweatshop products. These sweatshops discriminate against Chinese women and use them nearly as slaves to produce these products. The company is making millions while the women who are actually making them are making next to nothing and living in poverty. Not to mention, hope to God they don't get injured on the job, or need to take a sick day, because they are penalized for that!
I realize that these women will be out of work without the dolls, so they are stuck doing what they can to make ends meet, so this is more of a labor issue than an attack on the dolls. But I thought I would get on my soapbox and maybe educate a few people on where our products really come from, since you brought it up!
The plight of the severly underpaid worker in developed countries in one of my passions! Just don't get me started on where hair for hair extensions come and how much those women make! (Ok, since I brought it up, I'll enlighten...They make $2 for the hair that is sold in extensions. US price for the hair extensions = $2000.00!)

I wonder if they'll become "collectors items" 'way before their time??

I'm cool with that, their butt ugly anyhow!!!
A couple years ago my ex (who apparently does not know how to buy for children!) sent one to my (then) 7 year old, She ripped the package open and I thought when she saw the doll was going to vomit, the look on her face was priceless. and she asked me, " Mommy, what IS this" so I told her, " A sad attempt at a dolly" She asked, "can I take it back to walmart and get something thats not scary"!!!!!Proud wife to Randy

My DD is older so I missed the whole bratz craze. They are kinda funny looking dolls but some kids must like them because they have sold millions of them. I guess parent's, who have kids that like them, will be buying them all up.

My step daugher has 2 I think, I just don't like the way they look, it's just looks sort of un-natural to me!! I have seen the movies, and I don't think they are that bad, but not something I would want my kids watching all day!!
It is nice to see someone taking charge with toys though. I really believe that many things should not be made. JMHO!!!!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought they looked horrible. I wasn't a doll girl while growing up (well except for Cabbage Patch and Pound Puppies) so I guess it doesn't bother me all that much.

I'll be glad to see them go. They look like mini hooker dolls to me.

I am thrilled they will be gone. My 6 year old got one for christmas last year, I gave it right back to her aunt (my ex's sister) and told her I don't allow them. She hasn't talked to me since lol sorry but you're going to get something given back to you that you gift to my five year old that has cut off shirts, stripper shorts and heels on.
