Default What are you reading during the month of November?

I started re-reading Little House on The Prairie by LWI. It's been way too long since I read it last.

I have a book called "the notebook" that I got at a garage sale a while back..so I hope I can find time to start it

Oh and I am a huge laura ingells fan!! I would read the whole set in like 2 weeks, and then do it over and over and over again

Well I'm making it a habit to once again read at night so I'm shutting off my computer around 9 and then reading for an hour.

Right now I'm reading All Together in One Place by Jane Kirkpatrick. Its based on a true story.

I also have The Covenant here to read by Beverly Lewis.

After that, I have both of Tracie Peterson's two new books here, Shadows of the Canyon and Angel of Mercy.

Along with that I'm reading The American Quilt Story.

I'm still waiting for the book The Healing Quilt.

So I have lots to read for the next month. I too love Laura Inglis's books and were reading together the Caroline years. My dd loves having a chapter read a day and if she could, would try to get me to read more than one chapter.

I'm reading "The Quilters Apprentice" by Jennifer Chiaverini, (which is very good by the way), and when I'm finished I have "Alice's Tulips" by Sandra Dallas to read. Has anyone ever read any of the Benni Harper quilting mysteries by Earlene Fowler? Just wondering if they are any good.

I am also reading All Together In One Place!
I have the whole set and plan to read them all.
then I want o go through the TWG again (I have the all 3 in one version)
Then I may go through my Love Comes Softly set again.
can anyone guess I love reading about pioneer times???
CJ, I read the Laura books to my boys when they were in grade school. As long as they sat to do homework I would read. Somedays they made up homework cuz they were so interested. Now days they do not like to read, but still on occasion ask me to read to them.

how sweet homesteadmama! That's how i got started with little house on the prarie books, my mom used to read it to me

For some reason, the best part was the way the book crinkled while she held it, or turned a page

MJsLady, how cool is that, reading the same book at the same time.

One neat thing about reading a chapter at a time in regards to the Laura Inglis's series, is that you can keep your kids captivated by telling them you know what is going to happen in the next chapter. It drives them nuts but boy does it bring them back to listen to the story.

Went to the library today. Looks like a couple of thrillers for me.
"The Apprentice" by Tess Gerritsen and "Cold Day In July" by Stella Camerron. I love reading in bed when the house is quiet.

I'm still plowing through Stephen King's "Everything Is Eventual". I have so many books stacked up that I want to read! I think next I will either start "The Universe In A Nutshell" or Nickle And Dimed".

Reading "Angela's Ashes" by Frank McCourt. Even after reading the first chapter, you wonder how he ever managed to survive to adulthood with the miserable childhood he had. Very good, though, if you enjoy autobiographies.

I also am going to make time to read. I hate not reading, so this morning, I picked up a book and started while I waited for my allergy shots. I'm ready Deep Sleep, by Charles Wilson. It's one of the advanced copies that my bookstore friend sent my way. It's about a sleep disorders clinic where people start dying. I love a suspenseful mystery!
