Anybody have Animal Crossing City Folk?
~DH gave me this for my b-day but I don't have any friend's towns to visit through Wi-Fi. I'd love to exchange friend codes by pm with other Frugal Villagers!~

~It's cute, like the earlier Gamecube version. I've only been playing it two days so not much is going on yet. This game really depends alot on being able to travel to other people's towns. In the GC version you could just build 2 towns on 2 different memory cards and travel between them. You need 'real' friends for the Wii version.
AC,City Folk is a surprisingly addictive game. It's pretty fun to redecorate your house and travel to another town to shop in their store and pick up items you may not have in your town. The game is completely non-violent and a pretty good life skills game. You have to work to pay of your mortgage and keep the town nice and your house cleaned up. You can donate money to the town for improvement projects and keep a savings account. You also contribute every item that goes into the museum which includes dinosaur fossils, fish, bugs and art. It a really good game. ;-) My kids love playing it.~~Constance

I've got AC:CF... my town has apples. It's my least favorite of the fruits they offer, but *shrugs* oh well. If you want to exchange codes and town names, just let me know.

Amy, I LOVE this game. My little sisters have always loved playing the various AC games when they come over to my house. It's also really nice in that it allows up to four people to play (not at the same time - but they can have houses in the same time). Plus, the game never really ends so you can keep playing practically forever. Even after you pay off your mortgage, there are other things to do... catch fish and bugs (try building up the collection in the museum), collect paintings, dig up fossils, try to get a perfect score on your town, making orchards, designing clothing, trying to find all the gyroids, doing all the fun holiday activities, making snowmen in winter (I STILL haven't made a perfect one!), etc. Really, this would be a fantastic birthday gift.
Also, on a side note, it's somewhat useful in demonstrating the value of saving/paying off your mortgage/etc (one of the things that I like about this one is that you have a savings account, it earns interest, and you earn awards for having various large amounts in your account overnight). Plus, you can donate to the town fund and various things are built.
