Classic Movie's That Are Must See's....
So... with the new year approaching, I have decided to see as many old classic movies that I can this year. I watched the Sound of Music last night and now I'm compiling a list of "must sees". Believe it or not, I had not seen that one and honestly, I haven't really seen many at all. So village....what should be on my list???

I just got a classic from my DH for Christmas. It's called "We're No Angels". It's a great old one with Humphry Bogart, Peter Ustinov and Aldo Ray. I'm interested to see what others recommend!

I love the Sound of Music....so of course I had to watch it again. My dh swears I know it by heart. I would love to see what others recommend.....since I no longer have cable and now have time to watch the occasional movie.

One of my favorites! I also love: "His Girl Friday", "Philadelphia Story", "The Bishop's Wife" and "Bringing Up Baby". (I just love Cary Grant!
) Another good movie which is a bit obscure is "Miracle at Morgan's Creek" with Eddie Bracken and Betty Hutton. DH and I are real classic movie buffs. (Hence his FV moniker:MovieGuy.

I highly recommend Imitation of life. It's a great movie, there are two versions. I love the 1959 version with Lana turner.

Where to start, where to start...? Here's a list I consider essential:
The Big Sleep
Casablanca
Horse Feathers
Night at the Opera
Auntie Mame (Rosalind Russell version)
Pillow Talk
People Will Talk
Send Me No Flowers
How to Murder Your Wife
The Producers (the original)
To Catch a Thief
Rio Bravo
El Dorado
Maltese Falcon
Blazing Saddles
Room Service

Blues Brothers
Animal House
I am sure there are more, but this is my "off the top of my head" list. Sorry you asked? Now just do this-->
and watch away!

I love Audry Hepburn and Jane Russell.
Funny Face is one of my favorite Hepburn movies.
Gentleman Prefer Blonds is a fun one with Russell (and of course Marilyn).
I find that if you have cable, you can catch a lot of these great old movies on AMC at night.
