Any Anime Fans?
I mentioned in another post that DH and I really enjoyed Last Exile on Netflix streaming. FANTASTIC. He liked Spirited Away better than I did, but I liked Howl's Moving Castle better than he did. We've started Utawarerumono and are enjoying it, but like I told DH "it's no Last Exile".
Anyone else enjoy anime? Care to suggest something you found wonderful?

I saw Howl's Moving Castle and really liked it even though i had already read the book. I haven't really seen any others, i think i heard some where they were or have made Earth Sea, that might be good.

My daughter (19) is so in to this stuff. She loves it, collects the cards, movies, and all kinds of things that go along with it. As soon as I can get it together I will add a list of her favorites so you will know a few of the other movies that she has seen and enjoyed.....then you will be able to look at it and see if any interest you....

Thanks. I saw one where there was a little girl who was a with i think and delivered things for people on her broom stick. I have no idea what it was called but it was a nice film and the kids liked it.

That one might be Kiki's Delivery Service, along those lines try My Neighbor Totoro and Castle in the Sky. Ranma 1/2 was pretty popular but sort of brainless fluff and super silly. Those are silly and fun classics, Spirited Away (one of faves too!) and Howl's Moving Castle (book was better, but I liked the anime too) are much newer.
Princess Mononoke and Tsubasa are more serious-ish epic fantasy types. There's also a lot of anime that involves mecha and fighting too
My ex during college used to run an anime and HK movie club so we had loads of vids every month *heh*Last edited by Compte de Yoyo; 01-04-2009 at 05:00 AM.

Cool. I've got several of the Miyasaki films in my queue at Netflix. We did try Noein, but didn't care for it as much.
I know it's widely regarded as something "for kids" but I really enjoy some of what we've been watching. And then of course, there are the ones that are most certainly NOT for kids, and not really what I'm into either, (embarrassed LOL).
