    Default The Grammy's

Anyone else watch? What were the highlights and lowpoints for you?

I don't like most rap music but I do appreciate the genre (kind of how I feel about opera, lol) so even though I didn't particulary care for the "Hip Hop Summit" it was a kind of amazing collaboration- and I thought M.I.A. was going to have that baby right there, yikes!

Jennifer Hudson's grief was touching and I don't think I could have gotten through a performance of a song so close to that raw pain... she is such a pro.

Sugarland was awesome! Some people just don't sound as good live as they do on the radio and its always disappointing to find out one of your faves may not be talented as much as marketable. This is NOT the case for this duo. Her voice is amazing- and I don't normally like country music!

I was looking forward to Radiohead and they were drowned out by a marching band???

Excited to learn that Greenday is working on a new album!

I only caught snippets as I was watching Housewives and Brothers and Sisters, flipping over during a commercial if I wasn't ginning around the house or something. Wish I would have seen Sugarland and Jennifer Hutson's performances though. Glad they were great.

I was pleasantly surprised this year. I haven't watched the grammy's in years because of the crappy music (sorry if you are a big pop music fan!) but this year I was seriously impressed. I thought Coldplay was great and LOVED JT and Al Green's performance. I fell asleep before Robert Plant and Allison Krauss but it's on my DVR to watch this afternoon.
