Has anyone tried hulu yet?
So with the presidential address on last night, DH and I were left with nothing to watch, since we've vowed not to listen to anymore hulabaloo about the economy.
So, a friend of mine had told me to try hulu.com, and we tried it last night and I am stoked!
It is free to register and free to use, I was worried that I would have to download something and take up space on my computer, but I didn't.
Basically, we signed up and we were able to pick a movie and watch it for free, when nothing was on TV! They do have commercials in the movies, but DH and I weren't bothered by them at all. There seemed to be about 1 short commerical every 15-20 minutes, so there were much less commercials than actually watching TV.
They had tons to choose from too. TV shows (both old and newer-even last week's biggest loser was already on there) and movies and all kinds of stuff all for free!
I don't mean to sound like a commercial for them, but I was pretty excited! We were happy with it after we tried it, and it gives us another option for movies and we don't have to rent them! Plus, we've been thinking about getting a DVR, and now we are thinking we might not have too, since we can go on there and get some of the TV shows we miss!
I just figured I'd post this, becuase when my friend told me about it, I was skeptical. I figured it was a subscription thing, or there would be a catch to it, but so far, DH and I have been happy with it and it's free-ness!

I love hulu! I've been using it for some time now to catch old tv show episodes I may have missed. Like you I was a little bit skeptical at first but so far I haven't had any issues with the site at all. I do like the fact they offer movies as well as television and really love that they have a lot of classic movies on there that you always forget about and never think to buy or rent but you loved the movie and want to see it again, well there it is on hulu! You just can't go wrong with free entertainment.

We don't have cable, so hulu is generally where I get my fix.

I like TV, but I don't need it. Dh on the other hand....well, that is why we have cable. We all need something for entertainment. I have watched some things on the internet before and I just didn't enjoy the experience, so I am not sure I would like hulu. But...free is always good.

Hulu rocks. I think Sara told me about it or Gabe posted about it somewhere, and then I tried it and loved it.
Dave used it last night to watch a Family Guy episode.
