Seems I got an e-mail about this. I use AVG also. Another thing I would watch out for is all those forwards people send you with 50 thousands e-mails attached to them. Just a thought.

as long as you have your microsoft updates, it should be okay. i called my computer "dude" and thats what he said. lets hope thats true!

i tell you what...it says it has already infected some 9million computers since 2008... well maybe that's the worm that got me last week... it just
wiped my puter out....dh had to 're-build' the thing and it took a whole day just in that process...he said i was connecting to the internet (as it looked from the outside looking in) but yet i could not connect from my own puter.... i lost alot of stuff...and i still cannot access certain things... and i lock up repeatedly...am constantly thrown off line.... i am supposed to be making a list of all the continuing problems....

i have avg too.. and it let it thru...which dh is none too happy about....

i don't have an answer...but whatever worm i got...it got thru.....

update to my last post: my internet provider has just notified their customers of a 'major internet security threat'

it seems there are two worms now...the CONFICKER and the ROUTER.....

make sure you have an up-dated anti-virus program on your puters and if you have fire-walls and they are not activated...activate them immediately.... (that's their suggestions)

normally i would take it all with a grain of salt...but with my provider taking the time to warn all its customers and it goes on to prepare them and help them in the case of possible 'infections'....it must be a pretty bad bug.....i'm sure they have plenty of other things to do besides sit around and think of things to 'frighten' us with...(that jobs been taken...by the media)...lol
