Default Anyone Have a Portable DVD Player?

When I walk on the treadmill, I usually read. My treadmill has a little lip where I can rest the book and I use some type of clip to keep the book open. However, as I exercise more, I'm upping the ante and have begun to run. It's difficult to read and run. So, I'm considering getting a portable DVD player. It would have to be one that stood alone, didn't have the base and didn't fold up on itself. I have a friend who owns tons of tv series that I'd like to watch, and I'm thinking I could watch while I run.

So, I'm looking for suggestions. Anyone?

Hummmm I think it would be kinda hard to watch a movie if your running or jogging but I have 2 actually and each fold down onto the base unit, never tried watching them while on a treadmill though, lol The only other option is the ipod where you can watch movies on it.

Tracy, I'd rather not do the iPod for movies, as I want to be able to watch actual DVD's. I saw something like this [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Philips-DCP851-8-5-Inch-Portable-Player/dp/B0013WLZY4/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1238722959&sr=1-21"]Amazon.com: Philips DCP851 8.5-Inch Portable DVD Player with Ipod Dock: Electronics[/ame], which I think would rest on the ledge nicely.

You'd need to secure it to the treadmill so it would not fall down. Also our portable dvd player tends to skip when the road gets bumpy, so I'd be afraid that it could skip as you begin to run with some momentum. Just something to think about. See what the anti-skip rating is.
