I never thought to look at the library!! I have purchased 3 of the christmas series but they have gotten kind of pricey. I will now check out my library!!

I have found several good recipes and great gift ideas over the years in them.

    Thanks for the tip.

I don't have any of the actual books, but the Gooseberry Patch cookbooks have been my one frugal indulgence through the years! I have at least 30 of them and I read them like novels! If you ever want one of their cookbooks, The Cozy Home, is my absolute favorite!

You are absolutely going to love them! Be prepared to become addicted...Vicki and Joann run an entire empire with tons of great ideas!

I love Gooseberry and watch for them at thrift shops, yard sales and our local Goodwill book shops. I keep a list in my purse of which ones I've got so I don't buy doubles. Have one open now for a strawberry muffin recipe. I've found them for as cheap as one Dollar and consider it a dollar well spent.
When I went up north 2 years ago to meet a cousin who is my opposite on the family tree we were both amazed that we both collected the same things including Gooseberry books. Her exception is she enjoys coloring in the drawings near recipes she tried.
Also watch for the at shopgoodwill.com. They often come up there cheap.

Please before you buy another gooseberry patch book; look them up on addall.com. The early ones you can get for really cheap. That's how I've been buying mine. Addall checks several websites for used and new books and lets you know where it is cheapest to buy them. You can also get them at JoAnn Fabrics using your 40% coupon if you are on their mailing list.
