DWTS (Dancing With The Stars) running commentary

Did anyone watch last night? I was at my knitting group and missed the first 45 minutes, but I did see at least 4 dancers.

My prediction: viewers will keep Pam Anderson on the show far longer than she deserves to be. Bruno gave her performance an 8? C'mon now! Thank goodness Len told it like it was.

What did you think of this season's competitors?

I was able to watch the whole thing, almost forgot to set the PVR!

For all the hype, Kate Gosselin wasn't all that she was cracked up to be. But, its not about being 'good' right outta the gate right? She could be the sleeper underdog and could really make a turn around.

Pamela Anderson - I swear she was high on something - besides her hairspray, at least thats how she came across. But I think she tried really hard and used her past experience from her Stripperlla show(?) and um barfly days where she teased her hair huge and flung it around on the dance floor from the 80's.

Buzz Aldrin - It was great to see him out there trying to motivate other older persons and strut his stuff but he's 80. I think they were using him more for a name only.

Mean I know.

I agree about Pam...I told Dave that she seemed drunk. I think she's gross.

And I also agree about Buzz.

Kate was horrible, but like the judges said she has no experience being an athlete or an actress. She just looked scared to me. And I don't like her hair...she just looks so fake to me.

This has always been my own take on the show: these are has been stars needing cash or trying to make a quick comeback before they promote their next project/product etc. OR its an up and coming or someone just at the top of their career athlete.

So with that definition - Pamela Anderson fits into it

but I also totally agree with your statement!

Is Shannen Doherty - is she going to cry through the whole season?

I saw the whole thing last night. We were looking forward to it. Here's my take for what it's worth.

Pam Anderson ..... Looked like she was only missing the stripper pole out there. Gross.

Kate Gosselin..... Looked scared to death and may do better as we go .

Buzz Aldrin.... At least the poor old dude tried. Bless her heart for that.

Neicy Nash.... I LOVE her. She is my favorite at this point. Not the best dancer out of the gate but she is fun and seems to be enjoying it.

Ochocinco.... He was really good last night! He is lucky in my opinion to be paired with Cheryl as well. I like her alot.

Whatever your opinion of Kate is you have to give her credit with absolutely zero experience to go on television and dance. I also agree about Pam Anderson; she looked ridiculous (her hair was awful) and I thought alot of the scoring for the other people was rather low. I also don't like when they put the older people on and using their name to get audience and then they pick on their dancing. I hope I can even move that good at 80.

Totally agree. After watching Buzz last night and my dad trying to go through his physio rehab assessment upstairs - Buzz is light years ahead of my dad (aged 79) on this one but eons from the rest of the competitors. (Sorry couldn't resist the pun!)
