Seen any good kid movies lately?
With everything going on lately (Maggie being a high-maintenance moo cow, Zac working all the time and deploying soon), I've been letting Wesley stay up a bit late on Friday with me so we can watch a movie, just me and him.
So far, we've watched and rewatched a lot of the movies we own (the kid is crazy about Harry POtter) and have taken to renting movies from Red Box. We've seen the Squeakquel (gag) and the Princess and the Frog (really really good).
Anyone have any other suggestions for good family films for us?McD

Have you seen Up? Its a must-see. Watch it twice, you'll be amazed at what you missed the first time. Watch it three times, you missed even more.

Do you own the Toy Story movies? they are great!
Also Ratatouie (sp?) is really good.
I hear the new "How to Tame Your Dragon" is good.
And for stand-by, there are always the Shrek movies.
Warning: I know everyone's taste is different but I wouldn't take a child under 6 to either Up (which I LOVED, just not a kids movie!) or Coraline (same, but would give a kid nightmares IMHO)BEF: $$120/$1000

When ours were that young, a lot of the Disney movies were everynight staples. Remember, whatever you watch with them now, will be a comfort movie when they're 14 with a bad cold!
Some others that were favorites:
Wizard of Oz
Sound of Music
Quest for Camelot
Treasure Planet (Disney?)
Atlantis (Disney)
Tarzan (Disney)
Hercules (Disney)
I should get off my butt and go look at our video shelves.2012 Knitting in progress

My oldest watched Aladdin EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. when she was 3-4yrs old. My youngest it was Toy Story 1 & 2, Cars, or Finding Nemo.
We also like:
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (old & new)
Flight of the Navigator (old 80s movie)
E.T.
Any of the Shrek movies (especially now that there's a new one coming out)
The Incredibles
The Pacifier
Cars
Mary Poppins
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Bedknobs & Broomsticks (that was watched over & over too)

Check out some of the older Disney movies. My boys loved Fess Harper in Davey Crockett and other Disney movies from era.
This isn't a kid movie, but when ds #3 was around 5 y.o. he had to watch John Wayne's Red River every. singe. day. Sometimes when we need to read something aloud, I'll joke that I'm going to, "read over ya."

We watch either UP or WALL-E every day. DS is 3-1/2. There are parts of Up that are scary for him, right now that's his favorite.

Squirrel!!!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
