Electronic Battleship - More Trouble Than It's Worth
So, we have travel-sized Battleship. We play. We make do.
We were over at my parents, this past weekend, and DS1 mentioned to my father that he doesn't like all the little pieces of travel Battleship.
I'm the only child of two only children who live 5 minutes from my house. They never indulged or spoiled me, as we had no money growing up, however, they love to spoil my kids.
So, my Dad went out and bought DS1 Battleship. Regular Battleship would have been great, however, my Dad had to go all out and buy Electronic Battleship.
Let me tell ya...we'd have been much happier with the regular version. There is all this code entering and extra work to be done with this game, and my DS, who is 6, is not enjoying it immensely. Dh and I are loving it, but for the kids, it's really not worth the trouble it takes to get it set up. Then, there are all these different weapons levels you can play and weird little pieces.
Aye-yay-yay.
Sometimes simpler is WAY better! My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Absolutely, you can. But, try telling a 6 year old that you aren't going to use all the bells and whistles.

Fair enough. Now that you have me thinking, I wonder how it would work to add in a 3 by 3 peg plastic bit called the Nuke.
