The Hunger Games Trilogy
Has anyone read these books? I started The Hunger Games last night after I put the boys to bed. I stayed up until 4 AM and finished the book!!

I'm dying to start #2, but I'm afraid to!
Are they all like that? I'm afraid I wont' survive the series if I don't get some sleep! LOL!!

I read all three in about 48 hours. I actually couldn't stop between the first and second book, even though it was already the middle of the night. I found the third one a little less engaging (still good) and was able to break for sleep during that one.

Insider secret (kinda...) they just started auditioning actors to cast for the movie. Hope it's good!

I have the second downloaded into my Kindle, but I've so far today been able to hold off on curling up in my bed and shutting the door. I'm sure the kids could feed themselves, right? Curse my busy weekend!!!
I haven't been this involved in a series since Twilight!!!

Read them all, loved them all and made a special trip to get the third one when I inished the second one. They are awesome books! My daughters boyriend (17) was reading it and hiding it in a text book at school to read during class. Got caught, but since it was english class the teacher was more amused than annoyed.

I have the first one, but I haven't gotten around to it yet, -- I've hard a hard time working up any enthusiasm for it. Ill have to bump it up a higher on my To Read list. Thanks for the input.

I loved them too! I had to wait for each one to be released as well. I'm always recommending them to patrons at our library.
My 16 year old son really liked them too.~Tracy~

Young adult. Post apocolyptic ~ country run by a violent regime (think Nazi style rule, without the Holocaust). Twelve Districts in country, they have no contact with one another. Each year one boy and one girl from each district is chosen to participate in the "Games" ~ a gladiator style competition where only one person comes out alive. This is for the entertainment of the ruling party.
Not normally my genre of books but I can't seem to put these down!!!~Jessica
