Totally hooked on AMC's 'The Walking Dead' series
Don't get that channel, kept hearing from friend how GREAT it is, she bought the 1st season on DVD, we're watching 2 episodes once a week. Other horror/zombie fans, what do you think? First zombie show/movie I've sat through in YEARS, they -really- scare me, but this one is done in such a way I can stand it! I'm hooked, and know I will be sulking when season 2 starts up and I have to wait til it's on DVD to see it....like that there's plenty of horror, but back stories too that keep you into it. Have seen episodes 1-4, so no spoilers on the last 2 please!

I love it too! I had never been interested in zombies at all before. I think it's the "end of the world as we know it" scenario I like so much.

I love it too! My brother and dad kept talking about it and my dad finally just sent me the 1st season on DVD. Right after they sent it, I saw advertisements on German tv- it's being aired in English AND German! LOL.
I absolutely love zombie movies!!! I heard the 2nd season is going to have 12 episodes rather than the 6 from the 1st season. Can't wait till this fallWife to Air Force DH for 7 years.

I am literally glued to the TV when this show is on. I have it on my iPod Touch and received the first two graphics novels for Christmas. It's my favorite show by far. Season 2 has 13 episodes, which is fantastic!

Can't wait until season 2 comes out

You should. They have great illustrations.

World War Z was also good---it actually made sense as to how a zombie outbreak could spread from one area to another, from continent to continent.McD

Season 2 is coming out in the fall, but that could be between September and Halloween.
Without spoiling it for anyone, I will say this about the difference between the books and the show:
The show is an extremely loose interpretation of the books. Some items in the books do not show up in the show and vice versa. I know what's coming up in Season 2 and I am really excited about it.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

Russ I have to admit your poster has one quirk, 28 days later was not technically zombies.

Ah, Max Brooks- only read 'World War Z' by him, but it was FAB- one of my faves. He's fantastic! Finished season 1, can't wait for season 2, but will have to wait not only for it to start, but come out on DVD- we don't get AMC!
