I love my Kindle! A girl on another forum just shared her library with me, so now I have 200 new books, which will take me a lifetime to read lol. I also have the app on my iphone.

Kindle vs Nook
I just want to share my thoughts on kindle vs nook...
The latest Kindle is pretty slick for an eBook reader and it just feels light, intuitive, and easy to use. Amazon has far more ebook titles supported for kindle than nook, just by seeing over 2000 reviews were written on kindle where only few reviews on nook there should make you connived that kindle is the best to go with. The kindle is paper-like which gives you the feeling of reading a physical book. The kindle screen doesn’t cause eye strain in anyway where nook emitting light causes strain to the eyes after reading for long periods which is not good at all I think.
If you go with kindle 3G and you are type of person travelling a lot, then you’ll find that Wireless is a unique that makes really value for money.

I haven't played around with my Nook color enough, but I will say that I was disappointed that I couldn't read it at the beach or by the pool last week.

I just bought the Kindle 3G that has the "offers" - they are nonobtrusive, appear on the screensaver, and brought the price down to 139. I had enough gift cards so that it cost me nothing. The one drawback to the Kindle and why I held back from buying is that it did not support the epubs format which is what libraries use for ebooks. But they announced a couple of months ago that the Kindle will be supporting it later this year, and all existing Kindles will be upgraded. So I went for it.
Whatever ebook you use, this is a great site for special deals on ebooks, including a lot of free ones or very low cost ones, Free ebooks, bargain books and book reviews for the Amazon Kindle, nook, kobo, Sony and other ereaders from Books on The Knob

I haven't even had my nook for a year - was a gift at Christmas - feel a little guilty about the Ipad.
