    Default Anyone watching the summer Food Network Star Challenge?

    Interesting challenge. Must admit that I am having trouble with Penny's personality and how can you serve something that is burnt?

    What's your take on this season?

    Penny is one of those who grinds that last nerve I have. I am so ready for her to hit the high road. Even if she were to win, I do not think I could bring myself to watch her show. She comes across to me as a bit mean-spirited.

    Whitney is almost too perky for me. But. I prefer her a tad bit over Penny.

    I like the tattooed guy, glasses guy, and...well I am liking all of the guys. Which is pretty normal for me. In every show I watch I tend to favor the male contestants. However, I was thrilled when the radio DJ got the boot the first episode. He was lazy, lost and loony.

    I do like Orchid, too. She is adorable.

    Yes, Lauren & I watch it together. I am glad that Justin went home last night...he just couldn't cut it in front of the camera. I'm surprised that *he* was so surprised.

    I like orchid, the Vegas dude, and the woman who worked with Penny. The one that Bobby Flay called "mediocre" the first or second week.

    Penny is rude. I agree, if she were to win, I couldn't watch her show. Jyll seems like a good contender. Justin w/glasses needs to step up his game.

    Whitney seems to be a Rachel Ray wannabe almost. And I can't remember the girl's name who does the Spanish cooking...something about her bothers me, but I don't know what yet.

    Penny is just a *****. She won't win and they will just keep her around for a bit for the entertainment value. I agree with Neeley with the rest of the bunch, but so far this season, I don't have a favorite yet.

    i like Orchard~she is too cute~!

    I don't like Penny at all~she is not someone I would watch on tv. It's not so much how she cooks..but what she says in those little clips they do. I know a lot of that is editing, but if you knew you were being taped...would you talk that way? Unless trash talking is part of the game....

    5. lose weight (see #1)
    6. make new friends. (*this is hard for me...I have a hard time)
    7. Come up with a plan to pay off the mortgage! Maybe a 2nd job....hmmm...
