We are probably going to keep our instant streaming. We watch a lot of older series and I like the instant back to back episodes! lol
I also like that I can scroll and rate movies. I just went to the library and couldn't remember if I had watched a particular movie. I logged onto Netflix and saw I had rated it poorly (probably why I didn't remember) and put it back.
Even with the increase, it's still a good deal. I think the problem was the drastic increase and no discount for having both services.

~Well rats! I was enjoying watching Perry Mason on discs. But mostly we watch streaming. So we'll downgrade. I pay for Netflix with my own pocket money and a $6 a month increase is over 10% of my pocket money. That's not at all worth the 4-5 dvd's I'd get through the mail.
I'd be better off buying the series used and selling it when I'm done with it. :/ ~~Constance

Dropping to streaming only - haven't watched their DVDs in ages anyway.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Dropping to streaming only and I'll use Redbox for the few movies I might want to watch. Netflix is still a very good deal when compared to what expanded basic or more costs on cable. Plus we can use our Netflix account at both of our houses.

Actually, the Hulu is free as long as you are streaming to a computer. You only pay if you are streaming to another device.

There are more shows available on Hulu plus which is the pay service.
"What do I get with my Hulu Plus subscription?
Hulu Plus™ lets you watch hit current and back season TV shows and acclaimed movies anytime in HD for $7.99/month with limited advertising. We think of it as a complement to the free service on Hulu.com. For many popular shows on our service, Hulu Plus offers every episode of the current season, not just a handful of recent episodes. Hulu Plus subscribers also have access to back seasons and full runs of some of TV's greatest shows, including many that were not available online"
Hulu - Plus
"Content. Generally, Hulu.com offers up to the last five episodes that aired on TV, while Hulu Plus generally offers all current-season episodes from popular shows... Hulu Plus is also the exclusive source for the most comprehensive library of the Criterion Collection archive with hundreds of acclaimed films. "

I am switching to all streaming. We do watch a lot of streaming, with usually two being watched at time. I only have 1 dvd out at a time. So I will just drop that and actually save money. --A little anyway. I still think it is not a good business practice to not grandfather people in for an extra period of time.

We'll be sticking with just streaming here.
I've been enjoying "The Office" and "Grey's Anatomy" the most. Hoping they get some new seasons of them soon.
