    Thumbs up

I first heard about her when I went to the library earlier this year and got her cookbook, then I got on her blog, I am so glad that she did get her own show. She shows step by step how to make what she does.

    Thanks.

No doubt! I bet when she started blogging, she had no clue how far that would take her.

Well that's the American dream for sure.

I love PW's blog; I don't have cable, so I doubt I will ever catch her new show, but I am happy for her.

I caught this show on Food Network today. Sadly, I wasn't impressed.

    It seemed very scripted/staged.

I thought the same thing, especially with her dh and kids. The chicken fried steak looked really good, though.

I only saw about 5 minutes of it today because I had to run. I have it on DVR and will watch it later.

I'm not surprised. Everything about her seems scripted and staged to me. Her background and story are not exactly as she portrays them.

I really liked the show. I think it will get better, this was just her first show. I really liked seeing the ranch and "meeting" her family, they are a very big part of who she is and what she does day to day. I'm looking forward to more shows!

I've looked at the website and I guess I just don't see the appeal, beyond it being yet another cooking blog. Can someone explain the fascination?

I wasn't all that impressed with her or the show. It is a cross between a reality show (watch me try to work on a ranch, these are my kids doing chores, etc) and a cooking show that didn't give any measurements for ingredients.

I might give it another try or two but I doubt it is something I would actively watch.... ie, I'll fast forward through anything that doesn't capture my interest. lol

I was wondering if anyone had seen it yet. Wondering if it will get better? I will have to try and catch it.
