Now Palooka, you know I don't like Suze all that much, but I saw her on a TV show the other day saying something that just blew me away. She was saying that the market was NOT the place to put your money right now. That you should put your money in a interest bearing bank account. No investing at this time, that things were too unsure. I think it was the very first time I actually really liked her. It's a shame I don't have cable because I really would like to catch her again.

Interesting Polly. Not sure if I agree with that, but interesting no less.
I'll take notes for you.
Going to set it up on my DVR. I know she plans to address credit card debt, student loans, and savings.
Will see if she says anything different!

I wish I could remember what show I saw her on. Every other time I see her she seems to be telling everyone they can't afford anything. LOL! I've seen her talk about investing, and CC, and loans, but this was the first time I've ever seen her say no investing in anything. To put your money in interest bearing accounts. She was adamant about it, but much more mellow than her normal self.
But yes, please keep up on it and let me know. I'd like to know if her thought process has changed since I saw her last.~~~

I think she's right a lot when she tells people 'they can't afford it.' However, it would drive my crazy when someone would call and ask...we've got 10k in the bank and owe 5k in students loans. Why the heck does she never say take it out of your savings and pay the darn thing off and call me later and then you can afford it.
But, like I've said, I haven't listened to her in a long time.

LOL! You're probably right in that most of those people couldn't afford X,Y or Z. It was more the way she said it that got under my skin. But I'll tell you Palooka, she was totally mellow this last time I saw her. I think I could have sat down had coffee and discussed our finances with her she was so mellow.

Eh, I know her personality gets under people's skin, but it never bothered me.
I had several laughs watching Saturday Night Live though.

*snort* Some of those were fall down funny!

But if she's mellowed out, I could watch her for sure. You know, I forgot, I saw her on the Nate Berkus show. She was kind of mellow there too, but she really bothered Nate when she said they couldn't afford a new bathroom to buy a porta potty. Nate said, but I can't decorate around that!

Did you just say Nate? He's next...in my next lives, to marry... well Anderson Cooper comes first. LOL Too bad they both don't like my gender. heh
But, yeah, what was he thinking having her on his show?? Sorta puts a damper on his millions.

I think Nate trumps Anderson, but that's just me.
I wish I could remember the show exactly. They were doing those quizzes they do. I can only remember they bathroom though. It was funny.

What is this you say??? No freakin way, and it's not all about looks. heh. Anderson trumps in everything...even his politics. Maybe I should invent a pillow pet with his face.

But this is good. We won't be fighting over the same guy.
What was we talking about?? Oh yeah, Suze.

*giggle* *snort* *giggle*
Pillow pet! ROFL!
I will say this, Anderson strikes me as a very compassionate fellow, something we need far more of in this world. And Nate, well Palooka, how could we not use more color coordinating, fru fru, pillows, and trash to treasure. Besides, nothing intrigues me more in a guy, now that I'm in my 40's, then a guy who is OCD about neatness.

I don't like Suze, and I don't think she brings anything new to the table.
It's all just "You don't have enough money to retire" and "You can't afford that" and "you need to make budget and stick to it." She makes financial security seem so much at odds with happiness.
