I read the books but don't have HBO. How did the HBO version do justice to the amazing books? Good stuff?

My entire family LOVES this story, both in book form and HBO. All I can say is the series DOES perfect credit to the books. The compliment each other well. Thank you for the link. I saved the date and will definitely be in front of my TV when that comes back on. If you don't have HBO, I would find a friend that does and maybe take over a treat to enjoy with the friend on GoT night. We have several friends that are getting out of debt and don't have cable (including my son and DIL) and they come over and watch it with us (or on on-demand, several episodes at a time). It's SO good none of us mind watching it again.
Totally debt free since January 2011.

I've only seen the first 2 episodes of season 2 so far. Must catch up! Overall, this is my current favourite show on TV!
