Have you read these authors?
Chelle sent me Tara Road. I am thrilled to have found a new author to read.
I really enjoy Maeve Binchy's style of writing.
Chelle also recommended to me a new author Rosamunde Pilcher. I am excited to read some books by her too.
When I did an amazon search it fed back some other authors I may enjoy.
If you have read anything from the following authors, please give me a suggestion on a good read by them.
Mary Sheepshanks
Alexandra Raife
Barbara Whitnell
Janelle Taylor
Thanks,
Sara

I am a HUGE Maeve Binchy and Rosamunde Pilcher fan. I haven't read the other authors, but I may have to check them out this year!

What kind of books do you prefer? I read several books a week, and in a wide variety, I'd be more than happy to tell you my favorite authors.

Maeve Binchy and Rosamunde Pilcher are awesome authors but they aren't the only ones. What types of books do you like? Mystery, medical stories, legal thrillers, classics...

Re:Maeve Binchy
I actually know Maeve Binchy
She's a friend of another author and actress Sheila Flitton, who's son I used to date. I've met her in Dublin at functions, book launches, in the street etc. She's a real nice lady who is extremely talented and not a bit 'uppity' considering her status.

Re: Re:Maeve Binchy
That's so wonderful that you know her. I am currently reading Firefly Summer by her. I enjoy reading, but I don't consider myself an avid reader. I tend to stick with one author I enjoy until I read everything I can get my hands on by them, then I move onto a new author. Since reading Tara Road, I will be reading a lot more of her books.Originally posted by scr621

Wow, that's so neat! If you see her again soon, would you please ask her when she's going to release a new book? I've read everything she has written and would LOVE to read another!Originally posted by scr621

Re: Maeve
Unfortunately I doubt if I'll ever see her again, as now live here in the US and I'm married.
I still hear from my ex boyfriend every now then, so I'll see what he knows as it is HIS mother who is a very good friend of Maeve's.
I need to get intouch any was as I'm in need of some U2 t-shirts...and yes I know Bono too

Other authors
I actually am a huge mystery/suspense/thriller. I have all of the James Patterson novels, as well as Dean Koontz. Was a fan of John Grisham, but his books started to get a little hokey. Love Patricia Cornwell and Sue Grafton also. And, of couse, Stephen King.
